This classic Italian mortar and pestle is handmade by the skilled marble workers of Carrara, using Bianco di Carrara, one of Italy's finest marbles. Each piece is unique, with the natural characteristics of the stone making no two exactly alike.

A beautiful and practical addition to any kitchen, it is traditionally used for making Pesto Genovese, as well as crushing and mixing herbs, spices and salts. A timeless Italian kitchen essential that brings a little piece of Italy into the home.
